Dr. Ahitsha Ortiz is a chiropractor, mother of 3 children, and veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve. She was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and grew up in Florida. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Ortiz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, majoring in both Microbiology and Cell Science, and Food Science and Human Nutrition. She went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic where she received her doctorate. She has also coached and helped guide patients to being overall healthier, while losing up to 17% body fat in 3 months time.
She has extensive knowledge and has helped many patients recover after injuries sustained in auto accidents, sports injuries, and slip and falls.
Dr. Ortiz fell in love with chiropractic the day she saw what it did for her son.
“He had been having allergic reactions daily for a period of six months. I was tired of giving him medication that did not really help. I took him to a family chiropractor that explained to me, ‘if it has to do with an interference in the nervous system, this will help.’ It didn’t only help, it took away the itching, redness, and hives. My son was a normal healthy kid again. This happened in a matter of hours. That was all I needed.”
Dr. Ortiz’s idea of chiropractic is simple. Find the cause and help the patient through adjustments, neuromuscular training, and nutritional counseling if needed.
“Many patients have thanked me over the years. I humbly tell them that all I have done is help the body communicate with itself. It is their own body doing the healing. I love what I do. I have had the pleasure of being a part of patients’ road to recovery. I have seen the transformation of a patient with chiropractic and/or Metabolic-Balance. It is truly amazing.”
